To the Arte Flamenco de San José Community
Arte Flamenco de San Jose (AFSJ) prioritizes the health and wellness of its participants. The following policy is to codify those elements.

Participants in our classes and performances should only attend when in good health. Please contact your instructor or the director if you are unable to attend due to illness. Prompt communication is key.

Inform your instructor if you have any injuries that prevent you from safely performing any movements.

Stop any movements that cause pain and inform your instructor immediately.

AFSJ includes your mental health as part of your overall wellness.

AFSJ encourages you to seek professional medical advice for any and all issues related to your health and wellness.
Arte Flamenco de San Jose (AFSJ) strives for a safe, respectful home for its participants and audiences. AFSJ will not tolerate behaviors that are not conducive to our mission of the flamenco arts and culture.
Depending on the nature of the incident, any investigation outcomes, and resolutions, participants, Board members, or audience members may be removed from the group activities or reported appropriately to official authorities.

No weapons allowed for participants or audience members with an intent to threaten or harm.

No verbal or physical harassment

If you feel you are a victim of harassment, you may talk with your instructor or meet with a Board member.

AFSJ will treat all complaints seriously. We will either find a resolution acceptable to you or if appropriate, report the harassment to appropriate parties.

We encourage you to speak up immediately if you have any concerns.

AFSJ is committed to not discriminating based on California's civil codes.

If you feel you are a victim of discrimination, you may talk with your instructor or meet with a Board member.

Arte Flamenco de San José can use your help to keep our organization, artists, and studio space operating. As a non-profit 501 ( c) 3, we rely on your support to continue our mission of providing quality flamenco to the South Bay community. Every amount helps. Please consider donating $25 a month to keep us operating or a single donation of the amount of your choice. Your dollars will bridge us and let us come back strong with out missing a single flamenco step.
